Social Responsibility: As a teacher, I believe that it is part of my social responsibility to learn how to meet the diverse needs of my students (Klamm & Smith, 2015) and that is exactly what I do in my practice. My understanding is that every student has a unique learning style, which then necessitates the need to differentiate instructions in order to meet each student's needs. Thus, I have demonstrated social responsibility by researching different teaching approaches and matching them with different learning styles so that I promote opportunities and motivation for all students to learn. That basically ensures equity and fairness in learning. Commitment/Work Ethic: I believe that I have demonstrated commitment to my work by continuously researching better ways to improve the way I deliver knowledge to students and equally emulated work ethic by giving credit to the works of other authors that have formed part of my teaching approaches. In my practice, I spend substantial amount of time researching to get new insights and creating presentations on the same or based on the ideas I acquire. I realize that teaching without continuously researching is not very helpful since situations keep changing and that demands continuously learning (Klamm & Smith, 2015). Reflection: In my practice, one issue that I have come to learn is that learning is a life-long process and as such, it takes due diligence to make students truly skillful and mature. The life-long process requires me as a teacher to develop trust between me and my students which will eventually see the students confide in me and thus open up to me about their fears, difficulties, and strengths (Klamm & Smith, 2015). That way, I get where to start and understand the students' learning curves to better customize my teaching to their needs. Integrity: Integrity is integral to my practice because I do not rely on anybody else to complete my tasks and any other responsibilities as a teacher. I pride in my own work and give credit to authors whose work form part of my submissions. That is how I show that I not only value ideas that I have borrowed but equally contribute to the vast body of knowledge by doing my own research and work. It is only showing academic integrity can I say I have moral authority to tell my students to have integrity when it comes to studying (Osguthorpe, 2013). Professionalism: I am humble, respectful, and temperate and that is how I show professionalism in my practice. I not only respect the authority in question but also extend the same respect to my students. I demonstrate patience and flexibility when faced with difficult situations or obstacles and does not choose easy way out. For example, I have often given my students time to understand them and their difficulties rather than make conclusions quickly on their strengths and weaknesses (Mueller & Hindin, 2011). I also manage my personal emotions and feelings quite effectively to make reasonable reactions to different situations in a very professional way.
