My career interest is dermatology. When I saw my friends struggling with acne condition, I got interested in doing research about dermatology. As my friends tried hiding their faces in shame because acne damages their confidence and left them with the lifelong scars, my resolve to become a deontologist grew.
For one to enter the field, he or she is supposed to take the science courses, have a bachelor’s degree and at least attended a medical school for four years. I am planning to take anatomy and psychologies classes and obtain higher-grade levels in my school.

I am interested in the dermatology career since it is unique. The dermatologists may specialize in different things ranging from dermatopathology to cosmetic dermatology to pediatric dermatology. If I get a chance to pursue dermatology, I would be grateful to specialize in dermatopathology since I greatly want to positively influence the lives of other people instead of just removing wrinkles and acne from their faces. Skin cancer at present is affecting 1 out of 5 citizens in the United States and given chance, I would dedicate my life to helping prevent and treat these people.
Geographically, dermatology career is in great demand across all states in the country (mostly rich places like Cherry Hilly Villa in Colorado, Scarsdale in New York, Short Hills in New Jersey and others) over the last 5 years and such is one of the reasons why the industry has grown by 3.2 percent annually to $ 10.6 billion (MedESTHETICS, 2018). The industry has penetrated into e cosmetic industry with dermatologist providing the anti-aging procedures like Botox, lesser treatments and dermabrasion, according to IBISWorld industry.
Demonology career has high salaries and the demonologies are always ranked among the overall highest job satisfaction (DermatologyTimes, 2018). The average salary for dermatologist after 2-3 years normally ranges in $ 100, 000-$400,000. The opportunities of the career are always expected to increase by a margin of 14 percent in the coming 8 years. The career reports low rates of burnout, low feelings of stress because of the possible fact that it compensates well ( DermatologyTimes, 2018). However, some say that a deontology career might have less respect in the medical community because it is viewed as a lighter specialty focusing on wrinkles and lifestyle conditions instead of the health and foundational concerns. Another disadvantage is that one is required to spend many years at school to get a specialized degree. What is more, medical school is always expensive meaning that the studying for the career might prove to be both time-consuming and costly.
The personal characteristics required for a dermatologist is good communication and interpersonal skills. Apart from a dermatologist having the knowledge to treat and deal with different conditions, he or she expected to be good in dealing with different people suffering from diverse conditions ( MedESTHETICS, 2018). The most cases are not necessarily life threating and the patients who seek help will require a good interpersonal relationship with the dermatologist who may at times prescribe the right medication for a sad patient with low self-esteem.
Overall, the advantages of deontology career are more than its disadvantages. The profession is not an ‘easy way’ as some people may want us to believe. While it might not be necessary for me to be a surgical dermatologist, I might have a chance of telling my patient that a spot on their body is cancer and could lead to their premature death. No matter the profession one is in, such does not seem to be an easy thing to do. If I get the opportunity, I would be glad to become a real dermatologist treating acne and other conditions as I support my patients.
