The thought of helping parents and education institution is always an interest. The need to have an educated population to transform society is rising as the world develops. Therefore, a career path in education literacy, which constitutes counseling, teaching, and mentoring, has been my passion. The role, the skill, and resource that such a person needs to be competent should be the focus for aspiring to be an education literacy consultant. The benefits are numerous. However, these are career paths where a person becomes involved in changing and transforming the lives of young people and reshaping their future to make it better. For all these career paths, getting better clients and also achieving success depends on the degree of skills that make them outstanding in the field. 

Explanation

From the Venn diagram, it is evident that both counseling, teaching, and mentoring share some essential skills for the success of any person choosing any of these career paths. The diagram shows that for the three carrier paths, skills overlap, which means that these skills can be critical to any career path among the three ( Sackett & Gano-Overway, 2017). Therefore, the implication is that choosing any of these careers means that a person must develop these skills as a way to be successful. From the Venn diagram hence, communication, empathy, interpersonal skills planning, and professionalism are some of the overlapping skills that a person should develop to be outstanding in any of these career paths.

Communication tops the list as one of the essential skills that a person taking any of these three careers must develop to be successful. Communication means the ability to interact professionally with the students and educational institutions. Therefore, communication means verbal, written, and also none verbal cues that enhance the understanding between the two communicating parties. For a teacher, a counselor, or a mentor, communication is a powerful tool for success. For these professionals, they rely on their ability to speak well and communicate in a better way to reduce confusion and misunderstanding. These people must be eloquent in the language they chose to use. Also, these individual’s success depends on their ability to communicate through written documents. Teachers communicate with educational facilities and students through emails and social media. Therefore, they need to grasp high skills in written communication. 

Other than communication, any person aspiring to be a counselor, mentors, or teachers must maintain good work ethics as well as exhibiting professionalism are some skills that such a person must possess to be successful as a consultant. These people must possess strong analytical skills to analyze situations correctly ( Sackett & Gano-Overway, 2017). Teachers and mentors consultants must generally have fixed working hours, and they have to work five days a week. Also, being attentive to details should part of the skills a consultant in the literacy friendly needs to acquire. Therefore, professionalism defines the best path for teachers, counselors, and mentors to follow. A high degree of professionalism is critical in getting clients to have a successful career in any of the three professions.

Teachers, counselors, and mentors perform diverse functions, and planning is one critical skill that can help them master their duties and implement them in the best way possible. Note that, these people can work at the K-12 level, the education literacy consultants would need to decide whether to work with individual students or institutions. However, there is also the option of taking both sides of the job. Focusing on students means working with parents to assess the students and guide them while making recommendations on improvement areas. Working in a school involves evaluating the students within a particular level and making recommendations on the best way the school should move to enhance better performance( Sackett & Gano-Overway, 2017). Therefore planning is a critical skill for them. The plan should consist of numerous steps tuned in to help get the best out of the students. First, assessing the students’ performance in literature should be part of the planning. Also, anticipating the students’ progress in the future is another duty to master. Understanding factors that could be standing as an obstacle towards performance are the issues even to understand. Lastly, such a person will be making recommendations on the best way forward. 

Finally, empathy and presentation are also other skills that must be part of this professionalism. Empathy is about understanding the students feeling about the difficulties they undergo in the school. It also entails the sharing with their emotion and setting a tone for professional interaction with them. Presentation skills mean the ability to deliver a message in the best way that is simple for the audience to understand. For teachers, counselors, and mentors, presentation is one of the best skills they have to lean because it defines the success of their

In conclusion, the Venn diagram shows that for a better career in mentorship, teaching, and counseling, and have the right skills to perform the task. Skills such as communication are critical for these professionals. Also, empathy and presentation are at the heart of these professionals. Also, skills such as professionalism and better planning are essential for these professions.
