Drama is a fast evolving art. The uniqueness of show varies community to community, and that immensely informs the nature of performance. Drama is of significance in the contemporary society primarily for entertainment purposes, and in passing particular information. Thai drama and Korean drama are two such dramas that have a specific cultural orientation that brings out the difference (Ariffin, Bakar & Yusof, 2018).

Theme

The thematic and dramatic nature of the presentation brings out the key difference. The Korean drama is more dramatic as compared to Thai show (Kim & Hong, 2017). Korean’s present a more exciting plot (Rittichainuwat & Rattanaphinanchai, 2015). Their story-line is well-built, intense and can keep one glued to the movie. Most of the Thai dramas have a storyline that is extremely simple and cliché (Lee, Ham & Kim, 2015). The Korean drama is also predictable but they throw in bits of surprises, and that glues the viewers (Rewtrakunphaiboon, 2017).

Promoting Dramas

The Korean filmography is famous and has been in existence within the popularity space for quite a while as compared to Thai drama (Fergusson, 2015). The Korean is already very famous amongst the teenagers and elders in their line of entertainment. Korean drama has taken center stage in converting some of the booming Thai drama into Korean drama. That includes “ Fated to Love You ” featuring  Joe Chen  and  Ethan Juan . That aims at promoting Thai drama into the global space and recognition.

Selecting location

Location is critical with respect to drama. Korean drama is focused on the global market. It has realized an international recognition (The & Goh, 2016). Thai drama is globally recognized on a low scale. The drama best suits the Thai nationals probably due to language and prowess in the presentation. A majority find the Thai Language quite robust to learn as compared to the Korean language. That makes it attractive and annoying to most fans. That censoriously follows in the liking for their presentation (Kim & Omerbašić, 2017).

In conclusion, it can be noted that popularity is a critical element that accounts for the success of a piece of drama. Korean drama had gained a high following as compared to the Thai show. On the other hand, Thai drama is currently on a steady and sure rise in the industry.
