I will develop a token economy intervention for students with attention deficit disorder in a classroom setting. The goal of this program will be to teach and maintain desirable behaviors for classroom attention in the selected learners. I will, therefore, develop a suitable method of keeping track of the points earned by the student. In this case, I will use stickers and place them on the left side of the students’ desk. For each of the desirable behavior achieved, the student will be earning a point which I will mark on the sticker with a star immediately the behavior is recorded every day. Maximum points earned by the students in a week will be exchanged with a day’s field trip on weekends (Miltenberger, 2008). If the student achieves over 80 percent of the required points, they get a free class time to play video games on school computers. These tokens would also be accompanied by verbal recognition and encouragement to the students in the class.

In this case, I will use response cost components for failure to adhere to particular set considerable behaviors. For instance, failure to submit homework in time, misconduct in class and incomplete assignments will attract a deduction of a point every time the action is exhibited.
