Importance of Supporting Diversity
The modern world is home to diverse cultures, beliefs, perspectives, and opinions which together help in shaping several aspects of hum a life. Diversity is an aspect that cannot be wished away as it presents endless opportunities that should be harnessed to enrich human experience. It is important to support both the diversity of learners in a classroom and employees at the workplace by creating supportive conditions.Goethe and Colina (2018), advises teachers to use culturally relevant teaching methodologies to help minority students to pursue careers in STEM. Overall, Diversity should be viewed as positively as it provides numerous opportunities to learn from one another and thus come up with innovative solutions (Saxena, 2014).
Encouraging Discussions From A Variety Of Perspectives
Discussions that involve varied perspectives may be challenging especially to the people who are reserved and are not open to opinions that are contrary to theirs. However, one can encourage these discussions by helping the participants to develop an open mind to be active listeners. Jabbar and Miza (2019) assert that one can explore cultural branching an aspect used to refer to efforts aimed at helping individuals build bridges between pre-existing knowledge and new knowledge. The participants could be taught to respect the perspectives of others and try to find some positivity in them. In this regard, the participants should be helped to understand that each of the participants is an equal partner in the discussion in spite of the obvious differences.

Resources and Accommodations Available For Diverse Populations
Several resources that are in place in my setting are aimed at accommodating individuals who present diverse languages as well as ability needs. The most obvious accommodation are additional after school hours for ESL students who need to polish their English. More so, there is a modification in most of the private and public buildings to ensure that the disabled colleagues and members to access these buildings. Finally, most of the healthcare facilities have translators who help non-English speaking patients to communicate with the medical personnel.
How Social Determinants Influence One's Approach To Educating Others
Social determinants play a crucial role when determining how to relate with others in the academic sphere. The teacher may tend to ignore students with a lower mastery of English as these require personalized attention. The same case may apply to students who present learning difficulties who may derail the learning of the ‘normal students’ However, the teacher is keen on ensuring that there are structures in place to accommodate these learners so that they could be at par with others. Owens (2018), assert that there are inequalities between black and white students and high income and low-income students causing large achievement gaps. A teacher who is faced with such circumstances ought to restructure academic experiences so that they align with the students differences. Only then can a teacher be effective in spite of the glaring social determinants the teacher faces.
