I am Indian who was born in the United States where the culture was individualistic. In America, every individual mined their own business. Nobody cares about the other person's life unless they are related or invited to do so. After five years, we relocated to Thailand because my father was transferred. Living in Thailand was different from that in the United States. In Thailand, the culture was more collective. I later moved out to my place at the age of twenty. My character made me believe that the influence on child well-being or parenting does affect the way we are brought up (Zakeri, et al., 2013) . Good parenting will affect the child positively, and bad parenting will negatively affect the way we are raised.

Body

My family experience is that is a middle-class level was my parents could afford moderate life. With both Indian parents as a family was could follow the Indian culture while we were in Thailand. The community around was very collective. Any activity that was being carried out could be done collectively either as a family or community. Our experience was more similar to that which we learned in class (Talib, et al., 2012) . The family I was brought up in was where the father was the breadwinner, and we could relocate to whenever he was posted to work. During the discussion in class, we talked about the roles in the family. In my family, my mother was always at home taking care of us and any other visitor. That is what my father learned from his parents.

Broader trends have been changing with time, and currently, women are also breadwinners in some families. Though most of the eastern countries the father is still the breadwinner of the family. This is similar to my family, as both of my parents were brought up with strict families. My mother was given a few rights in the house. She could have authority on the children discipline, but if it was worse, the father was to take charge. My mother rarely could oppose what my father had said because she believed that he was always right.

The position of my family in the social structure was moderate. We were the only Indians in our neighborhood while we were in the United States (Mullis, et al., 2012) . Other people in the community were watching us see us practice the Indian culture. We rarely could practice our native religion due to loss of connection with other Indians in the United States. In Thailand, we could enjoy the union with other Indians. Our social status in Thailand was higher than that in the United States. In America, other people could not know how much we had. Another reason is that we rarely had time to socialize with others in the United States.

In Thailand, people had the idea that we were from the United States. Families from the western counties were highly respected. My father was a respected person in Thailand until he was appointed the village elder. The family social status, while we were in Thailand, could allow us to access honored places. My father had a good job that could make use live a comfortable life in Thailand. In the United States, the economy was different they could not allow us to live the luxury life we had in Thailand.

My experiences will be much different in various ways from what I have seen in my family. First of all, I will get a good job by working hard and ensure I marry an educated woman who can work too. I will also ensure I live according to the current culture without deteriorating my culture. I will follow the customs of modern culture just to fit in. When I succeed and become a grandparent, I will raise my grandchildren with love; I will not be too strict with them (Schiffrin, & Liss, 2017) . I will give them a chance to explore their strengths and focus on achieving their goals. I will give them the freedom to choose who to marry without any forms of discrimination. On the other hand, my experience will also be similar in a lot of ways to what I have seen in my family. I will live in a collectivistic culture, trying to share what I have with others and moving with my society towards development. I will not choose an Indian to marry, but rather the girl I will genuinely fall in love with. I will also have an arranged marriage, probably a public vow to live with the woman I will have chosen. Then at some time in our lives, I will allow her to stay at home just as my mother stayed. This will be mostly when she would be pregnant and also when raising our born baby, among other conditions like a sickness.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I think our families should lead us with good examples of how to live our lives in the future. We should also notice the best practices from our families that we should follow and never blame them for doing so. We should try and fix our lives so that our next generations have good lives just like how our parents struggled to give us the best. When we finally succeed and have wives, we should treat them right and allow them to feel they are part of the family. Men should not show their dominance in family matters. Both the children and the
