Food interacts with Crestor 

Crestor is a medication that helps lowers cholesterol and fats in a patient (Bykov et al., 2019). Crestor can be a dangerous medication when taken together with grapefruit juice. Grapefruit juice competes with enzymes that are directly accountable for disintegrating Crestor medication in a patient body. The enzyme CYP3A4, present in both the liver and small intestine. When mixed with the grapefruit juice results to a higher amount of Crestor drug in the bloodstream- which creates side effects like muscle pain and weakness.

Food interact with Lipitor 

Lipitor also know atorvastatin, consumption of too much grapefruit juice affects how Lipitor interact inside a patient body, and intake of large quantities of Lipitor escalates the risk of side effects such as liver damage which is a rare condition but a severe condition known as rhabdomyolysis which involves disintegration of skeletal muscle tissue. To a point, rhabdomyolysis causes kidney damage and even can lead to death (Bykov et al., 2019). A patient on Lipitor medication should reduce the intake of grapefruit juice to no more than 1 quart per day during the treatment.

Food interact with Zocor 

Simvastatin is a drug that is used along a proper diet to help reduce too much body cholesterol and fats and maintain adequate body cholesterol. Zocor belongs to a group of medication known as statins which work by lowering the amount of cholesterol manufactured by the liver reducing the amount of cholesterol in our body helps to reduce the risk of heart attack and also assists to harbor stroke and heart attacks (Bykov et al., 2019). Zocor often reach with grapefruit juice especially when you consume too much of this juice since it increases the presence of Zocor drug in the bloodstream and may increase the risk of liver damage.

Food and Coumadin (Warfarin) Drug 

One of the most well-known food nutrients that reduce the effectiveness of Coumadin drug in the body is vitamin K. therefore it is essential for a patient to be consistent in how much vitamin K to consume daily (Bykov et al., 2019). The adequate consumption of vitamin K by adult males should be 120 micrograms while a female should consume 90 micrograms. However, consuming food with a little amount of vitamin K does not possess any challenge a patient on warfarin medication and should avoid taking a large amount of food or beverages with too much Vitamin K. such kind of food and drinks includes; spinach, kale, Broccoli, green tea, collards, alcohol, and cranberry juice. These kinds of food diet affect the effectiveness of Coumadin drug in a patient body.
