Subject: Final Report Topic Proposal- Effective Methods of Increasing Employee Productivity
Employee productivity increases the chances of businesses to operate profitably. It also enhances the propensity of operational enterprises to capitalize on available resources to achieve set goals effectively. I have attached a report on the proposed topic to the memo.
I intend to focus on various aspects that affect employee productivity in my final report. They include the effect of inadequate communication on the yield anticipated from workers and the effects of inefficient technology. I also aim at conducting an assessment to determine the implications of training on the output of employees. The final report should also present findings on the effect of workplace conditions on employee productivity and the outcomes anticipated where workers face numerous difficulties in balancing the professional and social lives.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
I humbly request for the opportunity to conduct an examination of various issues with an extensive focus on factors affecting employee productivity.
Part 2
Topic Description
Employee productivity provides an adequate measurement of the efficiency attributable to workers in completing a given Project. The factors necessary for increasing the yield anticipated from a given workforce extensively depend on the individuals involved. For instance, some employees indicate a tendency to focus on intrinsic motivators. In contrast, others tend to consider different extrinsic factors to determine the input for specific job-related tasks that affect their output. A Gallup study indicates that employees feel disengaged from their workplaces at a rate of 85%, culminating in productivity losses amounting to $7 trillion (Harter, 2020). Operational enterprises must implement the appropriate strategies necessary for averting the prevalence of such losses. The profitability attributable to a business unit depends on an efficient level of employee productivity and its capacity to retain staff at a higher rate. The satisfaction of workers with their respective jobs positively influences the output attainable. It becomes essential for businesses to consider any factors with a propensity of culminating in employee disgruntlement with their work-related duties.
Justification of the Topic
My interest in issues stems from the inclination of modern enterprises to streamline their operations to enhance their efficiency. Part of the process involves utilizing available resources effectively despite their scarcity. Employees' productivity provides an avenue for an organization to achieve its objectives while ascertaining that it conducts its business processes sustainably. My interest in the factors that affect the productivity anticipated from workers also emanates from their propensity to affect workplace culture. An assessment of the aspects involved provides an avenue for improving the environment in which employees dispense their services.
Five Chosen Questions
How does inefficient communication impede employee productivity?
What are the challenges anticipated by workers in circumstances where they have to contend with inadequate technology for the dispensation of their organizational mandate?
What are the implications of an inadequate work-life balance on the well-being of employees and their subsequent productivity?
How can an organization implement training initiatives to improve employee output?
What are some of the workplace conditions that make it difficult for workers to increase their overall yield?
Two Preferred Questions
How does inefficient communication impede employee productivity?
What are the challenges anticipated by workers in circumstances where they have to contend with inadequate technology for the dispensation of their organizational mandate?
Reasons for the Two preferred questions
Inefficient communication affects a company in various ways, making it one of the primary factors requiring some assessment. Employees facing numerous challenges in obtaining feedback after the evaluation of completed tasks often become disgruntled. It makes it difficult for them to understand the areas that may need some improvements. Additionally, the inability to convey their ideas or contribute to their respective companies deprives them of a sense of belonging, resulting in detachment even as they go about completing company projects. An organization has a higher likelihood of losing disengaged employees.
On the other hand, contemporary businesses anticipate increasing innovation, availing technological inputs with a propensity of disrupting their operations. The statistical data currently available indicates that more businesses have integrated artificial intelligence into their company procedures. By 2024, expenditure on artificial intelligence will amount to approximately $4.3 billion. Additionally, technologies have already contributed to the extensive growth affiliated with retail enterprises that rely on e-commerce platforms. Addressing the implications of technology on employee productivity provides an avenue of highlighting how a company can create a competitive edge against its rivals.
Types of Research to be Used
I will conduct an evaluation of secondary sources addressing how communication and technology affect employee productivity. I intend to review “ Communication problems in management ” by Neely and Mosley (2018) and “ The impact of IT-technological innovation on the productivity of a bank’s employee ” by Obeng and Boachie (2018). The peer reviewed sources provide an appropriate basis of evaluation how technology and communication affect employee output.
In conclusion, an evaluation of key issues that impede or promote employee productivity in the final report effectively underscores the various strategies necessary for organizations to achieve desirable outcomes. More specifically, increased efficiency and output paves the way for higher returns. It also says that a company can operate sustainably into the future while incorporating talented workers' input. It also ensures that a business stays ahead of its competitors.
