The organizations operate with fairness and impartiality.

Rules apply fairly to every member of the organization. There is no favored group in the team ( Winter, 2014). All groups abide by the rule of law and experience equal treatment.

Members present ideas that are implemented by the assembly

Every member of the organization has equal rights to speak, vote and present ideas. This guarantees equal representation of the members of the group.

The majority rules and protects the rights of the minority groups.

Election of leaders occurs through the election process. People equitably participate in the election process to elect the leaders.

Explain which principles you think are fundamental and essential to democracy and explain why.

The most fundamental principles of democracy include equality of members and election of leaders that allows the majority to rule and protect the rights of the minority groups. The two principles encourage fairness and equality within the organizations. They promote understanding and existence of the rule of law among the members of the public.

Explain which principles you think are related and desirable but not essential to democracy and explain why.

The principle allowing members to present ideas for implementation by the assembly and where organizations operate with impartiality and fairness relate to each other but not essential to democracy. The fundamental principles of democracy include equality of members and election of leaders through voting ( Katz, 2014). Election of leaders through the majority vote and equality of members enables the formulation of rules and policies that encourage the behavior and operation of all organizations in a democratic state.

Based on your evaluation, draw at least one conclusion about democratic principles as they relate to democratic governance.

Democratic principles promote collective decision-making, justice, equality and freedom of expression. They guarantee effective social interaction between the members of a state. This leads to peaceful coexistence of different groups from different cultural backgrounds. The policies advocate for equitable distribution of resources leading to the satisfaction of all groups.
