Ethics Awareness Inventory (EAI) is a philosophical study of moral values that are based on the concept of what is right and what is wrong (Corey, et al. 2014). The ethics awareness inventory presents a person with questions in a self-scoring inventory to assist such individuals in developing a deeper understanding of their ethical style. Also, they are able to know the moral beliefs of others and some of the challenges they may experience when working with other people who have different ethical views. Awareness of the core values influencing ethical decisions is essential to the ability of an individual to be able to communicate meaningful input effectively. Proper articulation enables a person to achieve the desired judgments in a company or any forum. It is through ethics awareness inventory that ethical profiles can be determined. A person with a sound ethics awareness background will be able to work well with other people who have different ideas in based on their beliefs. wh Elçi, et al. (2011) states that the categories of gauging moral profiles in the ethics awareness inventory include character, obligation, results and equity with a short form of CORE. In fact, the CORE categories are based on the on the characterization of one's individual ethical beliefs and values. Depending on the answers that a person responds to the questions provided, one's ethical leanings are evaluated and known.
Results of the inventory
After taking my ethics awareness inventory, I found out that my personal outcome regarding ethics perspective is focussed majorly on character, obligation and results. My ethical awareness inventory had most closely aligned with the obligation (O) and least closely aligned with Equity (E). My ethical consideration points more on the obligation a person has in performing a particular duty as an individual. I hold the perception that I have the obligation to accomplish any tasks given to me without any complaints. I believe in commitments and respect on whatever task assigned to the person as the decision is that the person is very much capable of accomplishing the task.

I was not surprised by the results obtained in the EAI test. I agree with the outcome because I do not believe in equity at all. I believe that we are all different and have different capabilities as individuals. As such, one may accomplish a task better and without struggle compared to another person. I do not myself trust that all humans have same character and knowledge concerning a certain thing and therefore those with more knowledge are better placed to tackle such a task and succeed.
Personal ethics determines how the individual carry themselves and how they perform the various tasks and responsibilities given to them. Personal ethics also ascertain the extent of achievement of the person and their relationship with other people especially workmates (Barnett, et al. 2011). With proper development of ethics, there is frequently improved the acceptable behavior of the individual in the society and such will ensure that the person is socially accepted. A person who has morally accepted ethics will usually observe the set code of conduct in an individual environment. Such a person can understand why other individuals are behaving differently from them. In fact, the code of conduct brings all the ethics together so that such individuals in a company work together in harmony to achieve the organization's goals (Corey, et al. 2014).
My ethics style is more aligned to obligation, and as such I presume that every person has a duty to play in their field. I do not have to coerce a person to carry out a particular activity because I assume they already know it is their duty. I believe the people are competent enough and are committed to their responsibility and therefore I will not understand them if they do not perfectly accomplish their responsibilities. It is socially accepted that there are tasks that are meant for certain kind of people and are therefore expected to carry out their responsibilities without any questions. Other people in the community believe in them as very able people. Psychology knowledge will help a person to be accommodative in all aspects of life events and environment. It is the responsibility of a spiritual worker for example to lead people in the spiritual way. Such people have to be in the front line in the spiritual aspect of life. Being in an organization working as team means that one has to have compromised so aspects of their beliefs in order to work in the team. It is the obligation of the various persons in the team to carry out their specific duties to achieve the team’s objectives. One is able to understand oneself and why they hold certain beliefs so dear and what drives them in behaving in a certain way.
According to Elçi, et al. (2011), ethics will affect a person's knowledge on a particular issue or activity. The character of people normally dictates the kind of activities that a person can undertake in the society. For a hard working character, they are trusted with responsibilities because people have faith in them that they will achieve the assigned goals. Obligation ethics will drive a person into performing more because they feel that it is their call to do so and one else can help them. As such the people will have personal development in all aspects including health wise. They can exercise to maintain good health because they have the obligation of taking care of their health or they fall sick. When one have knowledge in psychology they understand that it is their duty as individuals to propel personal growth in all aspects of life like in economic development. Such people are bound to work towards achieving goals that they have set for themselves and therefore are able to grow. They are aware that if they do not achieve such for themselves no one will come in their rescue because it is their obligation.
Psychology is a discipline that will make me not only understand myself but also the rest of the world. One can comprehend why people have different characters and hold beliefs and values that are different from what others uphold. Also, one is prepared by the psychology knowledge to be able to work with people of different beliefs and character. According to Barnett, et al. (2011), ethics will determine the decisions that an individual makes because they are based on the moral values and beliefs that one believe in. A person who believes in obligation will not be pushed or need supervision because such people are driven by their sense of responsibility to perform the task given to them. One is also able to discover their preferences using psychology and therefore such knowledge will be used to guide them in their daily lives as individuals. Psychology education prepares one to work closely and understand other individuals in future in their careers. One is able to appreciate the different kinds of people and their various beliefs. Various people in the society have their beliefs which determines their extent of life achievements as individuals. Psychology education enables one to appreciate such people and accommodate them in the society without despising them as weak or weird. Ethics determine my attitude towards people and also helps in appreciating and understanding their various characters.
Conclusion
Ethics determine the kind of an individual one is and how to approach such people. It is through EAI that one can able to know ethical values a person holds dear and hence understands themselves. Personal beliefs determine the extent of achievements that a person will attain and their working relationship with other persons. Psychology knowledge helps a person in accommodating and appreciating ideas that are different from what one believes in because they have been recognized.
