For the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, it mostly focuses on the manner in which Julius Caesar was assassinated. The key character involved in the assassination was Marcus Brutus, although in an ironical manner. He served as a close friend of Caesar. However, questions arise as to what would lead an individual to murder a close friend. After assessing the relationship, which Brutus had with Caesar together with the manner in which he took part in the conspiracy in line with the vital role that he played in the plot, it is possible to realize the truth regarding the assassination of Caesar.

For Brutus, he served as Caesar’s close friend. The relationship that he had with Caesar was a close one particularly when it comes to Rome together with the people of the region. During the times of the Roman Empire, the manner in which an individual would come close to a high-ranking individual entailed whether the individuals were close personally. In diverse situations within the play, Brutus would be witnessed talking closely as well as while around Caesar. In addition, it becomes apparent within the play that Brutus was afraid of Caesar mostly because of the power that he possessed, although he also loved Julius. During the initial play’s act, Brutus would be heard talking to Cassius. He questioned as to what it entails shouting. He feared the persons that he chose while Caesar served as their king even though he loved Julius despite he was interacting with him to rise up in higher levels. Brutus also said that Caesar would turn his back owing to the higher position that he occupied.

In the perspective of Brutus, he was not in support of the rise to power by Caesar and later refrained from supporting the Roman persons. When Julius Caesar was assassinated, Brutus interacted with Anthony regarding the death of Caesar. He said that it was not possible to see the hearts of the Roman people since they were pitiful, while Rome would be pitied owing to the wrongs that it had committed. In the case of Brutus, he argues that Antony was incapable of seeing the persons involved in the conspiracy while those individuals showed tremendous amounts of pity. Again, this serves as evidence that Brutus has significant amount of love for Caesar while at the same time showing intense love for Rome together with the people of the nation. This serves as the only reason as to why Brutus would go against Caesar. In the case of Brutus, he would be witnessed stipulating that he did not have any personal reasons for rejecting Caesar. Here, questions would arise as to how the issue would alter his nature. The relationship that Caesar had with Brutus can also be revealed as a strong one. In the event of Caesar, he would permit Brutus to speak, which reveals the kind of respect that that he had for Brutus. For Caesar, he believed that Brutus was loyal to him while at the same time doing the ideal thing irrespective of the personal threats he experienced. Caesar was assassinated during the Ideas of March, while his last words were “Et tu, Brute?—Then fall, Caesar.” This reveals that Caesar would not have died if Brutus would not stab him. In this case, Caesar realizes that there must have been a key reason as to why he would be assassinated with Brutus involved. In this vein, it becomes apparent that Caesar had significant respect for Brutus. Both Caesar and Brutus had tremendous respect towards each other, although the respect differed in in various ways.

In the event of Brutus, he played a critical role in colluding against Caesar. He served as the key inspirer against of the effort aimed at assassinating Caesar. In the viewpoint of Cassius, the major purpose of Brutus revolved conspiring for the insurance policy. For the people of Rome, they thought that Brutus was a loyal person towards Caesar while believing that a sufficient reason prevailed for assassinating Caesar. Brutus also emerged as a key conspirer for a different “insurance policy,” which revolved around assassinating Caesar. In the event of Cassius, he revealed that Brutus would be the one would head the way in encouraging the people of Rome to go against Caesar. Here, in the event that Brutus served as the ringleader, persons of Rome believed that assassinating Julius was an ideal thing. In the event of Brutus, he also perceived himself as the savior of Rome. From his perspective, since he served as a friend to Caesar, he showed him love, while he loved his country even more.

In case Brutus was not involved in the “Tragedy of Julius Caesar’s” plot, it would not have been possible for the plan to work. Because Brutus had intense love for Rome, he agreed to participate in the conspiracy. If he focused loving Caesar more as opposed to Rome, it would not have been possible for him to participate in the insurance attempt since it would not have been possible to realize an “insurance” thereafter. The persons would argue that the death of Caesar would not have been justified while the different conspirators would be hanged. Moreover, in case Brutus was not involved in the assassination, it would not have been possible for the play to take place. Additionally, Brutus would have faced challenges on matters related to organizing an army or commit suicide. In case Brutus did not take part in the plot, the play would not have any meaning. Overall, Brutus played a critical ro0le in the play, particularly owing to the significant role that he played in Julius Caesar’s assassination.
