Figure 1 : An interior that uses geometric

The kitchen layout design utilizes the concept of geometry. The floor plan consists of shaped areas that consist of the kitchen top/counter, sink, working area, cabinets and drawers, in-build oven unit, and hanging ceiling light. The unoccupied space majorly comprises the pathway that facilitates movement out and about the space, which has integrated rectangular patterns adding a sense of stability and conformity with the rest of the room. Equally important, geometric forms mainly apply the use of shapes, with lines being its fundamental unit. The line is exceedingly vital as it guides the movement of eyes, making one perceive different forms. In the image above, the geometric form comprises the shapes and any other symmetric objects in the room. The space has physical forms in both two and three dimensions. Likewise, the figure on the extreme right is an elongated inbuilt cupboard with a perceived depth, width, and height as it is three dimensional. There are square and rectangular patterns forming joinery cabinets that have been used widely in the space to create a harmonious look and balance. The overall concept of geometry in interior design depicts how individuals use lines, shapes, and forms to convey the visual message from the image. Repetitive patterns or incorporating forms of similar shapes can create harmony and balance in the overall geometric design. The designer avoided using many different shapes, which could confuse. Recurring vertical lines in the kitchen layout communicate a majestic and conventional feeling, which makes the upward movement of the eye to incorporate visual elevation. The horizontal lines that create the squares and rectangular shapes create arouse soothing, restful, calm, stability making the eye movements side to side along a straight line, broadening the viewed area or object.

Figure 2: An interior that uses form

T he general idea about the interior is the application of the form as an element of design. The shape of the room and all objects inside it constitute the form. The room contains seats, throw pillows, in-built shelves, flower vases, and a cabinet. From the image, the physical appearances of the space almost take up the three-dimensional form. The form element in the interior has been used to emphasize the features in the living room. Space has been adequately used as the application of form, in the room has complemented its functionality. The long white bars on the inbuilt cabinet and wall have a perceived height, width, and depth. The above space develops an open form. Likewise, the combination of various shapes and the layout makes elements such as color, pattern, and texture in this space more noticeable. The overall concept of interior arts helps significantly to create a visual impression. The of the outline of the room contributes to the general balance and creativity of the space.

Figure 3: An interior that uses proportion

The idea of proportionality in this space gives it the relative sizes between the objects in the room. Essentially, proportion helps in designing to ensure the room has some form of balance between other elements of design like color, shapes, and texture. The proportionality in this image gives a comparative measurement of the precision of the layout. Another instance of proportion is repetitive color within the interior—the repeating of the color in different places within the room space. Form feature in this interior has been applied appropriately, in that the design employed repetition of square shape which can be seen on sits, throw pillow fireplace and framed canvas. In addition to that, the proportion within a space determines the object placement. Another critical factor to consider while designing is the outline and the overall size of the room, thus the width and length, which will affect décor arrangement relative to the differing height. In the interior design, proportion and form relate to the placement and positioning of other design elements. Each piece in the interior space contrasts in size, prompting viewers' eyes to bounce over the image, shifting various objects in the room, taking all the sensory information around.
