My gap year period was one of the most enriching times of my life. While working towards my undergraduate studies, I got an opportunity to teach high school and college students. It was a cohort of individuals who needed help in enhancing their knowledge in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and calculus. Given the satisfaction that I had derived from my work while pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I was motivated to pursue full-time tutoring after graduating in fall, 2015.
While finances were one of the main reasons that pushed me to undertake tutoring, my passion and commitment to serving individuals from underserved backgrounds is unwavering. My mantra is to serve is to reign. This has motivated me to volunteer in different capacities. I also wanted to familiarize myself with scientific research papers.

The financial support that I offered my family went a long way to help my wife start school in 2016 and graduate in 2019. After my wife secured a job as a healthcare professional, I was able to pursue my goals with greater determination while believing in my capabilities. My experiences have offered numerous learning opportunities. One of the most important lessons is that a combination of passion and hard work can yield highly desirable results. Most importantly, I have learned that personal satisfaction is not always from financial gains, but from impacting others.
