I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.
In the competitive contemporary world of business and academics, incompetence and lack of hard work are key factors that facilitate failure. Hard work allows for the development of persistence in an individual as it ensures constant errors, which lead to learning experiences. To achieve and sustain success, hard work should be incorporated into each aspect of life; including academics and in turn notable returns ranging from innovation to phenomenal discoveries. Hard work requires commitment and dedication to achieve one's desired goals as well as mental satisfaction. I, therefore, believe in working hard in academics as well as the business market.

Researchers have found that one of the most significant necessities for a successful and sustainable business is hard work ( Rattan et al., 2015) . This can be observed in my life through the various business ventures that have helped me gain experience as well as financial returns. As a creative and innovative individual, I established a company that painted mailboxes at the age of thirteen. Several years later, I developed a website that aims at providing solutions to cooling dock surfaces. While I have amerced a wealth of knowledge and experience from these business ventures, one key aspect has remained constant and has helped me accomplish my dream of going to Auburn.
On freshman campus, I would live the creed of hard work as I have learned and perfected the arts of persistence, patience, and resilience. These values will help me through my academic year as I would be able to focus primarily on academic success and set my energy towards the goal. Similarly, I have gained knowledge on how to use a practical approach in life and hence its role in my academics as I would be a sensible student with realistic and achievable goals. In turn, I would set achievable academic goals, and through the experience and exposure, I have had through hard work in business, channel my energy and resources towards achieving them.
