I am relieved to find out that help for teens is now within reach. By contacting the Crisis Text Line (CTL), teenagers in crisis can receive quick, professional assistance through their cell phones as the basic requirement here is texting. Being a teenager can at times be difficult. Life can seem unbearable as one begins to identify with the adult world. There is the element of stress and depression especially in situations where a teenager is expected to meet the educational and social requirements of their parents. Poor academic performance is one element that can be stressful especially when one underperforms in school. There is also the issue of peer pressure and bullying. Apart from these, there are other personal problems that could make a teenager lose the desire for life. The article acknowledges the fact that teenagers have problems and something has been done to help them out.

Opening up to someone can be difficult especially when it concerns personal problems that can seem embarrassing. Teenagers fear humiliation. I, therefore, think that the element of receiving help with anonymity can be quite helpful to many. The other thing is that one gets help at their convenience. This means that a teenager does not have to wait to pay a consultation visit to be assisted but only needs to type and send their text to CTL’s helpline number and despite the nature of the matter, they will receive help accordingly. I, therefore, recommend the effort by the founder of this organization and the team of consultants who offer their boundless services at no cost. Their concern for the young people means that teens will no longer suffer in silence since they will always have a professional to talk to regardless of their location or time. I, therefore, think that the effort by CTL serves a right course to the general public.
