The paper will evaluate personality form the big five inventory by assessing my own personality. It will evaluate the upside and the downside of the pattern of the five dimensions used in assessing personality by the big 5 inventory. It will explore various traits in association with leadership effectiveness and show how they reflect on the basis of teamwork in work and school environments. According to the big 5 personality inventory, my personality can be summarized as follows: openness to experience, I am imaginative, open-minded and experimental. It has helped me discover ideas and implement them even when am not sure of the outcomes.
In the level of conscientiousness, I am disciplined, efficient and well organized in my work and indulging. This revealed consistency and effectiveness. The extraversion trait found me friendly outgoing, assertive and a person who likes to work with others ( Manning & Curtis, 2015). When assessed in agreeableness, I found out that I was hardheaded and sometimes skeptical but also good-natured. Emotional l stability showed am not easily upset even in stressful situations but remain relaxed and calm as I try to look for solutions to address the problem if it is within my reach.

The big five personality inventory is an effective way of establishing the category of an individual’s personality and effectively assessing the traits that a person possess based on behaviors ( Manning & Curtis, 2015). It is simple and straightforward as it presents a series of questions that require the individuals to click on whether they agree with the statement or not. It is time conscious because answering the questions takes minimal time and provide the results promptly. In addition, it is able to correctly determine the personality of an individual in privacy helping a person to highlight the areas that need to be addressed and upholding the traits that have been assessed (Bono & Judge, 2004).
For example, in my case in need to work in my agreeable trait to do way with hardheadedness and being skeptical in order to be able to deal with people effectively. On the other personality is a complex issue to assess from a person through a series of question. It requires keen and a long observation of a person’s behaviors, responses, and reactions to different situations to be able to comprehend the personality of a person (Aluja & Garcia, 2003). This makes the big five inventory ineffective in completely exploring the nature of an individual personality and its implication on leadership.
My scores on conscientiousness, openness, and extroversion reflect positively to leadership. Being imaginative, open-minded and creative, the openness trait will help in creation implementation of effective policies that will have an impact in the organization or team I am assigned to lead.my high level of discipline will come in handy in maintaining a disciplined workforce that is focused on achieving the set goals and fulfilling the mission set before us. My extroversion trait that shows I am outgoing, friendly, assertive and like working with people will help me deal with a wide range of other personality and harness their potential and ability to accomplish the set tasks without conflicts (Aluja & Garcia, 2003).
Studies have shown that possessing the right trait in leadership plays a big role in organizations and societies as it helps influence the employee's work performance, job satisfaction, commitment to the organization and the well-being of an individual (Bono & Judge, 2004). I believe my personality as evaluated by the big five inventory to have impactful and influential behaviors will impact positively on my work school and any team I will be part of in the future. My high scores on conscientiousness make me organized and disciplined to associate with people and perform my assigned duties at work or in school. My traits of being outgoing, friendly and affection for working with other people will help in being a member of a team or a team leader whether at work in school.
