Mr. Green’s version can easily be comprehended because he interweaves a story around his lectures, which makes one to relate and recall what he has heard. Most teachers or professors fail to do this, especially in this age that people appreciate stories. For instance, as the video starts, Mr. Green takes us back to history and the mid immediately begins wandering off to imagine the scenario he is creating, and pondering how the ancient eras were (Seidenberg, 2017) . Concurrently, one begin feeling the responsibility of recognizing the matter since writing and the ability to reads are simply indicators of civilization. This feeling is evident the first time I watched the video.

Storytelling is beneficiary to comprehending something and retaining it in your mind. This is because the mind is captured and engaged into the material as one tries to link the story to the points being relayed. Mr. Green elaborates who, what, when, where, why and how of the story. Something is understood in a better manner if the brain can create analogies between things being read or written and relating them with the things already known (Read, 2017). It is, therefore, evident that individuals understand and remember things in a better way of they can make mental pictures about it. It is not sufficient to give the reader or a student a faint, abstract notion of something, for example, PowerPoint slides since the mind of people are not wired to operate that way. Readers do not just need a blueprint of something but the full picture of it. That being said, one need to engage in reading of material from all conceivable senses, which includes auditory, visual, mental etc.

One of the ideas that the video has sparked is that of imagination and empathy. These two major skills have been reinforced by reading. They can be a remedy to cynicism and indifference, which are two toxic aspects of the culture that is messing up young people or students presently. Even though people can achieve the academic careers smoothly today, the worry is the number who can make application of what they learn in the outside world and relate it with reality (Seidenberg, 2017) . Therefore, we can rely on many benefits of reading.

The goal of a serious worker should not be tell people a story that is baseless, to entertain or to move the readers. The motivation of the writer should be to trigger the reader’s thoughts and they have a comprehension of the deep and secreted meaning of events. It is the writer’s personal perspective of the world that he attempts to convey to us readers by reproducing it in form of fiction (Seidenberg, 2017) . Therefore, creativity and succinctness become paramount in every write up. The writer has a chance to elaborate his preferences by expounding and building a picture on them accordingly. Personally, I have the potential to show you how and why I perceive something in some light through writing.

In conclusion, the problem that most students experience is that they listen or give their attention to reading or writing passively and not actively. Reading should be accompanied with fierce taking of notes or attempt forming major ideas that can be interwoven together with reality. There is either need to form mental pictures while reading or writing by thinking deeply as you are involved in this. Even so, the current education system need to revise so that students are not just result oriented but there is holistic approach to learning. The learning experience should be more of interaction and engaging with the students and so is one who write about something, he has to engage with the reader.
