What I consider as a True Work of Art

I find real art as the power of automation and design. It is an item that is unique and has never been seen before. The whole idea should be standing out and be appealing at first sight. Presenting a typical piece of work or copying someone's opinion can never be real art. It has to be original. No medium holds more considerable significance over another in the art industry. The idea of art is creativity (Chalmers,2019). It all lies on the artist; as long as one is talented, nothing can be of more value than that.

Conceptions of Art Appreciation

Caroll defines the two notions of art appreciation as a judgment of taste and cherishing one's work. He means that when you appreciate anything, it is because you have judged it and liked it as well. He agrees most with liking because it is an immense feeling. You have fallen in love with the subject for you to express a sense of appreciation (Adams, 2018). My personal preference is of the contrary opinion; I have to judge the item first before I can be able to appreciate its quality. I will compare it with what I’ve seen before, then be able to conclude whether I like it or not.

How Art Critics Can Influence a Work of Art or an Artist’s Career

Art critics can make a piece of art sell rapidly by making it famous. When critic spreads about a specific item, it can publicize, and many people would want to have a look at it and be their judge. It might turn out to be liked by some who can instead choose to buy. Critics can improve a person's career, depending on how one takes it. We learn from our mistakes; therefore, it should be an excellent lesson to grow and offer the world a better piece of work that will be appreciated (Cross, 2017). There should be relevance towards art critics' opinions on visual arts. They help shape the industry by steering the artists into giving the public the right items. Artists should have a view of their piece of work. That way, people will get to understand their inspirations and struggles towards offering the best so that they can learn to appreciate them.
