Facebook is a popular social media device that may affect one's personality to a great degree. Case in point, I am a person who is quiet and who does not like interfering with other people's affairs. In fact, most of the times I keep to myself as I love my own time and respect people's privacy. Psychology personality tests reveal that I am an introvert. Based on my ability to stay on my own, I do not get involved in many social rallies as I do not even get to know about them, given my small circle of friends. However, Facebook changed my personality as I made many friends whom I ordinarily would not make. I assume that my confidence in these relationships is that I cannot see the people who are my Facebook friends, but we only interact on social media platforms.

The reason I identified that Facebook changed my personality was when one of my friends on the platform got an accident and they lost a lot of blood. Consequently, their Facebook page sent an alert that the hospital needed blood donors as fast as possible to save that life. Since the hospital was just near where I lived, I went to donate blood and save the life of the victim. Ordinarily, I would not get involved in such social events, and so I can confidently say that my personality became outgoing on Facebook. Moreover, after a while, the person incurred high bills as they had multiple fractures and they also needed money for medication in the best hospitals as the specialists demanded lofty payments. Since the family could not raise the money, we were required to contribute as a way of supporting the person. I went out of my way to not only share my money but also ask for money from my friends and family for the treatment. I then understood that Facebook truly changed my personality to a more caring and outgoing person.
