Furthermore, the discussion offers convincing argument in terms of ways that proactive leaders embark on forward thinking while emphasizing on upcoming challenges prior to disturbing an organization. The discussion is critical based on how it portrays the capacity of proactive leaders in assessing decisions while comprehending that the decisions that they make presently influence the present in line with having long-term implications for the future of a company. The discussion convinces the audience based on ways in which it utilizes examples of real life companies that have managed to adopt proactive change strategies to become successful in their operations. The organizations described comprise of Pepsi as well as Marine Corps, which have emerged successful due to their leaders emphasizing on their adopting proactive change. The leaders of these kinds of companies emphasize on supporting forward thinking to ensure they address any gaps that might prevail in the adoption of change efforts to foster continued growth of their firms (Stinchcomb, 2006). Nevertheless, the discussion fails to address the shortcomings that might prevail by adopting proactive change strategy to assist companies in knowing the areas that need improving to make sure that the change initiatives receive organizational acceptance among the employees.
