Overview of MCI

MCI is a nonprofit entity that is answerable to no one and receives unlimited funding for all its operations and employees. Our major goal is to conduct research and create solutions for the ever-growing challenges faced by humanity. Our major areas of focus and research include the medicine, robotics, engineering, weapons, biotechnology (such as cloning of grains, desensitization of the oceans, and development of artificial proteins), and artificial intelligence.

The major reason for the set of MCI is to eliminate the tragedy bound to face the earth especially with the ever-increasing migration of citizens to cities. It is estimated that the population in urban centers will hit 5.5 billion up from 3.3 billion therefore this is likely to cause a future global crisis. In a bid to combat this, the MCI has developed a facility known as the “Eco-Tropolis” (ET) located in the south Pacific. ET is a proto-type of the future’s green city that contains fresh air, clean water and no traffic jam. Additionally, the island is self-contained with stringent security protocols such as security passes and personnel.

Security protocol

Among the security passes available include:

The level blue for housekeeping, maintenance and food services

The level orange for civilian workers such as managers and secretaries

Level red for researchers, designers, scientists, engineers, assistants, and highly ranked military personnel.

Level pink for all security personnel

Non-military urban center, which is the residence of the civilian personnel. It includes recreational and learning features such as schools, shopping s=centers, restaurants, libraries, hospital and a theatre.

Other security protocols include lack of cemetery since all bodies will be shipped back to their country of origin. The docks, which will be heavily guarded by the military to facilitate the unloading of, transit ships delivering supplies to the island. Strictly guarded warehouses by the military and civilian services.

(Waste management system)

Waste management: Waste management and disposal of paper waste is extremely guarded through safe keeping in a vault or shredding. Thorough scanning is mandatory to the respective professionals when entering and leaving the facility.

Sewer system: Heavily guarded and the waste disposed in the toilets are automatically worked on by genetically engineered bacteria.

Top Secret files: These are safely kept in the vault and never leave the labs.

Communications: All forms of communications within the island is closely monitored and controlled. Communication outside the island is barred since the signals cannot reach other zones.

Employee status:

Due to the delicate nature of our task, all the employees are required to maintain confidentiality through:

Signing a non-disclosure agreement upon hire

Signing away their human and constitutional rights on the hiring date

Signing their lives away upon hire

Staying in the island unless one is dead or forced to leave

Heads of MCI

(Right front, Dr. Robinson and right back, Dr. Ovellette)

Dr. Spyder Robinson (CEO) : Dr Robinson has 12 PhD’s and is commonly known for being fairly secretive and ruthless at times. Not much is known about him.

Dr. Pierre Ovellette (Bacteriologist) : He is the second in command after Dr. Robinson and has direct contact with him. He conducts research of the various medical uses of bacteria in treating the infections of the human body.

Ms. Prince (alias gecko): She has no known photo and is a special animal activist known to own many dogs as she is often seen playing with her pack in the dog beach. She also rebukes littering and does not take it lightly to whoever does it.

Additionally, MCI is also headed by various department heads such as:

(Dr Max Bite)

Dr. Max Bite (Head of computer technologies) : He is a loner but a computer genius. He does all his communications online to avoid contact with the island’s inhabitants.

(HAL)

HAL (Head of Information Technology and life support systems) : HAL is a supercomputer that is responsible for controlling all the information streaming in and out of the island.

Honey Huan and her team (Head of housekeeping) : Ms. Honey oversees a team of 50 workers responsible for the cleanliness of the island’s buildings and living areas through the use of eco-friendly products.

Mr. Ivan Dvorkina (Head of maintenance) : Responsible for overseeing a team of 35 workers and a retired military. His hobbies include making scented candle and fishing.

Chef Baker (Head of food services) : Famously known for his honor in culinary skills while undercover in a French bistro. His culinary ambition is to create meat for vegetarians. He also has robotic staff i.e. Ser-Vo bots which acts as waiters and facilitate food deliveries. Chef Baker is assisted with several chefs such as Bud Taty Dubois, Connie Naglett, Abd Al Aziz, Yan Chan Soo, Juan Valdez, Yorgie Gorsky, Mary Esposito, and Hazel Nutt.

Robotics personnel

Robotics department is headed by Dr. Asimov who is also a professional in designing and building robots and robotic equipment. Despite his odd nature, he is well liked and trusted. Additionally, he is an early pioneer of satellite technology and developed the laws of robotics.

Illustrated above are some of Dr. Asimov’s pet projects. However, most of his work are highly guarded as top secret and have never leaked outside of his lab.

Medical personnel

The medical team continuously strives to offer better care for its inhabitants. Additionally, the robots are integrated to work alongside the nurses and surgeons in delivering medical services

Events

Finally, MCI would wish to invite you all to the soccer tournament scheduled between 10 th to 17 th of November.
