I was able to complete the leadership motivation assessment noting that I have achieved a score of 60. As per the guidelines of interpreting the scores, attaining between 56 and 70 is a clear indicator of having a strong motivation to lead others. This assessment tool is particularly important in recognizing one’s desire to participate in leadership efforts. For instance, one of my key strengths in leadership includes my high levels of energy when I am aware people are depending on me. Additionally, I am very motivated to ensure the team sticks together as I take action in resolving conflicts that may arise. There are other areas where I seem to have weaknesses such as my accomplishments have a greater precedent to those of the entire team. This trait could lead in poor motivation and moral among team members. Furthermore, there are times particularly when times are bad that I find it hard to become the cheerleader for my teammates. This clearly indicates a lack of emotional balance to maintain high spirits in good and bad times.

Plan to Develop Leadership Skills
My plan of ensuring development of leadership skills is through making significant improvements in my weaknesses. In the case, I will begin practicing identifying the achievements of the entire group as the most important factor. This characteristic can only be achieved through focusing on the various aspects of group that will lead to its overall success. I have to work harder in ensuring that I always point out the positive achievements rather than focusing on the negatives. This will help me become a better cheerleader for the accomplishments of my team members.
