The disorder
CK is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (A) and anxiety (B).
Treatment
The patient can be treated by combining psychotherapy techniques and medications. The patient should be given Anti-anxiety medications to reduce the severe anxiety she is facing, combined with Prazosin to reduce PTSD symptoms. However, these medications are prone to abuse; thus, CK will only be introduced to these medications for a short-term while working on psychotherapy technique, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for a long-term solution. This psychotherapy technique is trauma-focused; thus, it will be effective in treating CK. During the sessions, CK will engage in talk therapy with the therapist to identify, understand, and alter her behavioral and thinking patterns. CK will be taught skills that can help overcome her disorders. During the therapy sessions, which will be exercised between 12 to 16 weeks, CK will be required to repeatedly demonstrate the skills learned to help improve her condition.
