Advertise the job - tell the people about the job. Post the job internally first because it gives the current employees a chance to grow plus a company's people are a great resource for effective workflow and productivity.

Review the applications and resumes - this helps to find the best candidates on paper. Most of the time when a person or a company is looking for employees they are on a time crunch to feel a vacancy, this opens the space to overlook crucial red flags when hiring. Putting in mind that fact it is essential to go through the applications and resumes thoroughly to increase the probability of getting the right candidate. This process is very crucial because past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Therefore it’s important not to overlook any details on the applications because it is not possible to wait and hope for the best resume to fall from the pile.

This process also gives the employer a chance to pick the best candidates for the job by paying attention to detail. This is the first elimination process. The candidates whose applications stand out get the opportunity to be listed for an interview. Another factor to consider during this process is how a potential employee represents themselves on social media. An employee of a particular company is part of their brand, and if they represent themselves inappropriately on the internet, it could mostly affect the company socially.

Telephones interviews- This stage helps narrow the field by weeding the ones that are not fit for the job. Telephone interviews will give you a better idea of the overall skills of the candidate, from their training, education and experience. Talking to candidates over the phone also provides the employer with a chance to assess how candidates are enthusiastic about the job and it also creates an opportunity for them to ask questions before committing to an interview.

Face to face interview- For the best candidates that passed during the review of the applications and telephone interviews. The employer gets a chance to ask the candidate more personal questions, and they get information about them and how well they would fit in the company. Some people can be easy to talk to others over the phone but when it comes to face to face, they cannot a conversation. Therefore the employer also gets the opportunity to see if any of the candidate's responses are different from what they portrayed in other steps of hiring.

Organize for the candidates to talk to other employees so that they get a glimpse of the job requirements. At this point, the employee also decides if they are ready for the job offer.

Check the references- Make sure that you check the applicant’s references because it’s a very crucial process.

After the references check out, then it’s safe to offer the best candidate the job. After the whole process, the employer is ready to contribute and negotiate terms and conditions of payment. It is significant for the employer not to get excited at this point because it's important to be fair when offering a salary it should not be below or above the payable amount to avoid conflicts later after employment.
