From the Post, it is evident that old age comes with a variety of challenges. The mature individuals face difficulties with regards to adequate access to care. There are a lot of chronic illnesses that come with old age. Chronic diseases are an example of challenges the old age faces as documented in the post. Chronic illness result to economic and health challenges for the old and this has been a factor that results in deterioration of life at this age. From the post, it is evident that emphasis is on the factors that contribute to unhealthy conditions at old age, and the factors that result to long life expectancy ( Costello-White, Ryff & Coe, 2015). Such factors include the lifestyles, choices a person make with regards to healthy behavior, the financial stability that enhances access to preventive care, the genetic variation, and physical activities. From the post, these are tagged as a variable that makes a person either live a healthy life or unhealthy life at old age.

Other than this, the post ought to have put a lot of emphasis on the preventive measures to difficult conditions at old age ( Dundure & Pukis, 2015). For instance; diet management is a critical factor in reducing complications at old age. Chronic illnesses at old age result from improper diet. Preventing chronic diseases is basically through diet management ( Gibney, Carroll & Zhang, 2018). Other than diet, physical exercise is another factor that is critical for the old people to manage their health and stay healthy for a good part of their lives. As a result, it is true as stated in the post that allocating time for physical exercise, diet management and socializing with people is critical in preparing for a better life at the old age ( Deb, 2015). Adequate preparation for a better life at old age is thus essential in reducing some of the challenges that come at this age.
