My art production and the inspiration piece have the same thematic connection of simplifying appearance by using colors and brushstrokes. The two pieces illustrate Modernism. The art works are of a different medium. Mont Sainte-Victoire was painted in a canvas as the subject matter while I will be using a paper as the medium. The formal elements comparison is seen in the lack of an outline, composition, but the pattern, lines, and shape are similar.
