The items listed in my checklist are essential as applied to my current career role. As an educator, I will be tasked with ensuring that my students develop a high debating aspect which improves their communication skills and builds self-confidence (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), 2011). With the setup and provisions ready, it gives the students a sense confidence and seriousness in what's happening in the hall, and be able to maintain good conduct while in the hall and even outside the school compound.
One of the things that I left out of the checklist is the language translation systems and sign language interpreters. This is because all the parties taking part in the debate are well known to me, and none of them is neither deaf nor a foreign language speaker. Everybody can hear and understand English well as well as communicating.
There is no specific rationale for the organization of the checklist. The important this is to ensure that the particulars of the checklist are observed at the end of it all, without necessarily following any specific organization. The primary idea of coming up with the checklist is to ensure that all the necessary arrangements, requirements and activities are carried without any inconvenience.
The decisions made on the development of the checklist were primarily made on the observance of general required for a successful debate to take place. We have had debates in the past and the preparation of the checklist for the preparation of this particular one. From the experience of the previous sessions held, I have had identified the need of having a checklist designed so that no crucial item is left out which could hinder an effective program implementation.
