I am Peter Jefferson, a first-year student at Hampshire University College of California. Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing with an intension of improving community healthcare. I intend to specialize in clinical nursing to improve the experience and outcomes of patients. My minimum salary encouraged me to engage in various community services earning minimum wage and saving for my university program. However, my effort as an independent student, I lack enough money to cover my tuition fees. Consequently, I seek a grant to accomplish my nursing career and educational goals. The grant will increase my study hours as opposed to working part-time to obtain money for my tuition fees. Active engagement in instructional practices such as time maximization in studies promotes academic success (Scalzo, 2015). Additionally, the grant will decrease my tuition cost; subsequently, I will accomplish my educational and career goals in clinical nursing. The donation will help me access internships with a renowned healthcare institution in California after achieving my career and educational goals.

Woyshner (2014) holds that Financial constrain hinder the academic achievement of students in various educational faculties. Based on my minimum salary from part-time jobs, I cannot raise adequate funds for my college fees or expenses.
