Animals fall victim to abuse in a society suffering in the hands of those who should protect them. Even the domestic animals still get inhumane treatment even at their owners' houses. Examples of such acts include not being fed and sheltered and physical abuse. Such mistreatments cause animals, particularly pets, such as cats and dogs, to run away, even posing a more significant challenge to their lives out there. It is the responsibility of humans to treat animals with compassion and provide the necessary care for them. The reason behind my choice of this topic is the fact that animals deserve to be treated humanely because harming and inflicting pain is a mistake whether the victim in question is human or non-human. Also, given that humans can make rational choices that lack in animals, hence it means that they have a duty and responsibility to look after them. Treating animals rightly has been quite discussed over time, especially in the United States. Some groups advocate for vegan and vegetarian lifestyles intending to push for better treatment of animals instead of as friends and not just helpers and source of food and security in the households. I believe in treating animals with respect and compassion rather than as support creatures in the form of products and services.
Humans benefit a lot from animals, which is why I advocate for humane treatment for the animals. The most common ways animals are advantageous to humans include being a source of products such as meat, milk, wool and hides, and skins. Meat and dairy are a crucial part of balanced diet essentials for humans, and the other products that are wool and hides and skins are used in the manufacture of products such as clothes and shoes. In terms of services, there is transport and security. Animals such as camels and donkeys are so handy in transportation while dogs are not only there for security purposes but a good companion for humans. Therefore, individuals can create a mutual coexistence with animals since they benefit from them, and protection is one of the benefits the animals should reap.

Also, I believe that an offense against the animals should be treated as abuse from or for the owner. Animals are not covered in rights, but humans do have rights. In some cases, animals owned by people can face violence from the other members of society, such as the neighbors. Such actions should be treated as offenses committed against the owner of the animals because animal rights are human rights. Hence, people should be careful about how they treat animals as it reflects the level of respect and empathy they have for the owner of the animals in question.
The treatment of animals should be taken seriously. Animals can still be used as food, clothing, experiments, security, among other purposes, as long as they not misappropriated. The animals' treatment and visits to the veterinary should be made regularly to ensure that the animals are in good health and shape before their use. Diseases carried by animals can be transferred to humans through food if the animals are not treated when sick. Therefore, making the health of animals a priority is one of the ways to deal with inhumane treatment of animals.
The other way should be giving rights to animals. As time goes by, the world revolutionizes, and the animal sector is not left behind. I suggest that animal rights should be included in our constitution even though humans are still going to be allowed to use animals for various purposes. Treating animals with consideration does not, however, mean treating them as humans since such treatment may not be the right way to the animals and thus still unfair to them.
