Rhetoric is an art of discourse which effectively enables human beings to effectively and persuasively use language (Bryant, N.D). As a matter of fact, rhetoric can be employed both in spoken and written communication thus being part of everyday-life for every human being. It is therefore imperative for every individual to be well equipped with rhetoric as a discourse so as to be able to convince, persuade or please others wherever necessary. This essay explores the different ways people can use rhetoric to serve others.

It is like a law of nature that for a person to be successful there must be a connection between their personal achievements and their service to others. It is in this respect that the use of rhetoric takes the center stage because one can be of service to other through different ways. Primary, by being a mentor, one can use the persuasive and convincing power of rhetoric to influence learners to work hard in their academics (Bryant, N.D). Through such an influence, many will be changed since they will be persuaded to abhor distractions that can derail them from achieving their dreams. By so doing and by applying rhetoric in this endeavor, the mentor will significantly influence a positive change not only for an individual student but also for the entire society.

Through rhetoric, positive message can be communicated convincingly influencing change through evoking emotions that are essential for creating a sense of understanding.

Conclusively, it is worth acknowledging that rhetoric takes a substantial part of everyday living. Therefore, we should consider using it effectively to serve others in our different capacities so as to inflict positive change.
