There is going to be an annual bed bug spraying exercise on 25th May 2018. This exercise shall take place in all the facilities including rooms, gym, laundry and the compound of Putney Apartments. There have been several cases of tenants complaining of bed bug infestation in their rooms and the laundry area. To make sure that these bugs are eradicated, the management intends to spray every place in this apartment.
The goal of the management is to see that all the tenants have access to a room which is clean, secure and free from pest infestation. In line with this goal, we intend to sanitize the area to prevent pest-related diseases. Bedbugs reduce the quality of life by causing anxiety, sleeplessness, and discomfort. To avoid this, a week-long exercise to spray insecticide shall take place on the above-indicated dates. The apartment will be ready for occupation from 1st of June 2018.

Tenants are requested to vacate the rooms because the insecticide to be sprayed can be harmful to human health when inhaled or when one comes into contact with it for a certain period. This will prevent cases of human toxicity and acute illnesses which can be fatal at times. To avoid another scenario of bugs' infestation in the apartment, all tenants are advised to store their foodstuff safely, in a way that discourages bugs. Tenants should endeavor to have their houses clean and keen on items that come from the outside which might be having bugs in them.
All the tenants are therefore requested to allow the management to carry out this exercise. For any inconvenience that the exercise may cause, we humbly apologize and request all to understand that this is meant to improve the quality of life of our esteemed tenants. Providing some space for the exercise shall help eradicate and prevent pest-related diseases and discomfort.
