Rewriting the text

According to Feenstra (2020), the correlational method is very significant; however, users must be cautious. Users must understand that even if one variable cause another to change, it does not mean than the variables produce one another. Instead, users should research and test the variables to identify the causal variable (Feenstra, 2020). For instance, sunburns and outdoor temperatures have a relationship. However, it does not mean that sunburn causes the outdoor temperature; instead, the sun provides the outdoor temperature.

The use of declarative sentences and an authoritative voice in texts play an integral role in developing my intended career. Through the approach, I can provide information and use explanations to convince the readers. Some of the difficult types of plagiarism include changing theoretical principles used by scholars (Masic, 2019). However, to avoid the errors, I write my understanding of the text and later credit the work of the author by providing an in-text citation.

Academic voice is used to mean satisfying the expectations of academic writing. On that note, when using an academic voice, one should use declarative statements (Gray, 2017). Plagiarism, on the other hand, is using another person idea or work without their permission and representing the information as ones work (Masic, 2019).

In the rewritten passage, the author uses an academic voice. This premise hails from the use of declarative sentences such as the correlational method can be very useful, but it must be used with caution. This sentence provides information to the reader. The author follows with an explanation that indicates the significance of the declarative sentence. Besides, the author displays an authoritative voice in the text through his choice of words.

In terms of plagiarism, the rewritten passage is plagiarized. The argument here is that the author fails to credit the work to the rightful owners. Instead, the writer presents the information as to his ideas (Cronan, Mullins, & Douglas, 2018) . For instance, the author fails to include citations within the text. Similarly, the author lacks a reference section that shows the sources used to aid the compilation of the work. Additionally, the author fails to rewrite the sentences or paraphrase some of the statements used in the original text. For example, the correlational method can be very useful, but it must be used with caution.
