If I were an artist in the seventeenth century, I would have been a Rubeniste. That means that I would have favored painting over clear drawing. I love painting because I think everything in nature has color. Painting, therefore, gives various phenomena in nature a more realistic representation. I also think that paintings have a more visual appeal compared to clear drawing. In regard to the painting categories, I agree that history painting is the hardest. The main reason is that history paintings involve imagination; painting something that you have only heard about and not seen. For instance, painting a scene from the Bible can be quite challenging. However, I do not entirely agree with the provided order. My order looks as follows:
History painting
Landscape
Portrait
Genre
Animal painting
Still life
I do not support the use of art for political propaganda, but in some cases such as during the French Revolution, Neoclassical paintings were used for a good course. I believe that art should be used to enlighten the public about their rights as well as the role they ought to play to ensure their wellbeing. However, art ought not to be used by politicians to promote evil deeds or to mislead the public.

One of the most interesting places I would like to visit is the Lascaux caves in France to see the animal paintings of the ancient societies. The period I enjoyed most is the Renaissance period because it was a timeline where a lot of inventions and ideas emerged. On the contrary, the medieval time was difficult to understand because seemingly not a lot of activities happened, making it difficult to describe the art of that period. However, the class has been beneficial to me. I have learnt to look for different types of inspiration as well as to explore new materials in creating my artwork.
