Interviewer: Hello Picasso, could you tell us whether you started painting while still young or you developed the interest of painting when you were an adult?
Picasso: No. I have been interested in painting since my youthful age but my work did not receive significant recognition in comparison with the period when I went to work in France as an artist where I have received respect of my paintings, sculptures, and other forms of arts I have made.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Interviewer: How would you answer the question I have asked Picasso?
Matisse: Uh’ mm... I started painting as soon as I reached adulthood when I was involved in the creation of paintings that had soothing theme. I am regarded as the father of fauvism which puts more emphasis on Physical feelings of people and the need to get comfort. My art works seek to create the feeling of an ‘arm chair’ to the viewers.
Interviewer: Matisse, could you give us examples of paintings you made that are considered your most important paintings?
Matisse: An example of a major painting I made is the ‘Gustave Moreau’s studio in 1895. This painting illustrated my view of the biblical and historical figures. Another famous painting that I consider important is the Frankfurt Museum which illustrates the oldest museum containing artifacts of Jewish origin in Germany. My objective of creating the painting was to enable the understanding that the past historical figures could be observed through painting.
Interviewer: What about you Picasso. Tell us the paintings you have created which you believe to be your best paintings.
Picasso: I consider all my arts to important because I do not want any of them to be considered worthless or meaningless. However, I have a strong personal feeling that the painting ‘The Blue Period’ in 1904 is one of my best paintings because it clearly illustrates the poverty that he experienced himself and how it has impacted the society. Another major painting that I believed I made successfully is the cubism painting that was created in 1909 that also puts more weight on the structure and weight of a painting.
Interviewer: Picasso, please tell us the significance of your work and how it has impacted the society.
Picasso: I am confident that I contributed considerably towards the form of art called the Cubism in which greater emphasis is put on forms of the picture. Paintings of the Cubism period incorporated bright colors and in the synthesis of forms. Through the use of color, I was able to create foundation in painting which ensures features such as shapes and appearance of object are easily identified.
Interviewer: That’s commendable. Now, Matisse could you tell us the impact of your works of art in the modern art society in general.
Matisse: The overall impact of my paintings on the global society is their role in promoting the value of decoration in art products. I am also considered as a painter who played a role in promoting the illustration of pleasure in works of art through the use of colors and patterns that were disproportionately oriented and unsettling ( Bois, 1998) .
Interviewer: Thank you very much for your decision to share with us the information about your works of arts and your career of painting. We wish you well in your future efforts as painters.
