President Donald Trump is one leader that has sparked the concerns of interest groups, the media as well as public. The main concern is that the businesses that President Trump owns and runs are briging a situation of conflicts of interests. According to those complaining, the President is receiving offerings from other parties in order to carry out particular activities in the interest of the nation. Public interest groups that are interested in the situation include Democracy 21 as well as Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. Some of these groups are suing the President siting the above causes. This brings about the issue of trust where the public is concerned. Are the current policy moves by the President influenced by profit alone. Congress, which is made up majorly of Republicans is doing nothing to stop the president from whatever he is doing.

The media also does have a great influence when it comes to shaping the opinion of the public. A good example is the issues of police brutality that have been highlighted in the country for some time . According to research, there is correlation between the definitions that people have in their minds about the police and what the media says. For instance, African Americans define police legitimacy in terms of morality and integrity. Although most of these concerns are influenced by the media, they are often true. It is the role of the interest groups, the media as well as the public to make sure that the governing bodies and authorities are effective in their service provision.
