The internship offers an opportunity for a student to practice hands-on skills in a work site and assists to expose a student to practical life expected within the academic field of specialization. Psychology internship is essential as it allows a student to build a foundation and work skills that are work applicable after graduation and certify the requirements of the psychology job market. Some of the individuals that I came across during internship are the managers, the secretary, staffs and more importantly, the supervisor who was my boss at the work site. The supervisor demonstrated the highest deal of professional behavior that was very inspiring to me an applicable in my career as a psychologist.

The unique quality demonstrated by the supervisor and dramatically distinguishes him from other professions is his interactive communication skills. The ability of the supervisor to make his desires clear to me as an intern and other staffs was unique on how he delegated tasks to the employees. The supervisor also maintained open communication channels that allowed the employees to forward their complaints, feedback, and suggestions to him. Another unique quantity that the supervisor revealed is his ability to maintain a positive attitude at the workplace, a factor that made the place friendly. Also, problem-solving was much more comfortable when done with a positive attitude than with complaints.
A strong passion for the institution was another unique quality that the supervisor revealed and greatly distinguished his profession from others that I encountered at the placement. The supervisor appreciated the objectives of the institution. Therefore, teamwork was very easy and that the team members felt excited working with him.
