Interviewer: Good evening Michal Rovner; good evening everyone hope you all had a great day. Throughout my life, I have been conducting interviews with different artists across the globe with the most surprising being the last years’ interview with the world most recognized artist and believe me it was an amazing experience. Rovner I’ve come across many of your works, and they all make me fall in love with art over and over again, there is this particular one you did a number of years back in 1997-98 and is currently on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York and is titled BORDER (MET, 2019). This art attracted me due to the solitude that the person in the art decides to endure to take the walk which seems long alone.
Interviewer: Perhaps there is anything you want to share before we continue? Let us say something about your life which you consider to be great relevance especially in consideration of this piece of art

M.R: Yes of course. First of all, I would like to thank you for inviting me here and you the listeners as well for taking your time to join us it is an honor. As you all know my name, I am Michal Rovner from Israel born in the year 1957, and I reside in New York City. Sometimes life is not as we want or imagine it to be and in some cases, you need to exile yourself cross the border and rediscover yourself; that is the BORDER.
Interviewer: Considering this art, what media did you use in addition to the tools? Just in general the media, technique, or processes that you employed to create this magnificent piece of art.
M.R. This art is a painting, all I needed was a pair of brushes paints, and a plain paper with dimensions of about 128.9 x 169.5 cm (50 3/4 x 66 3/4 in.), the medium is a Paint on canvas and a frame to set up the paint after it is done. And of course, I own the copyrights.
Interviewer: Let us consider the principles and elements of design present in the work like the color and texture or scale and balance which are emphasized on the art.
M.R: Am yes color and texture, as well as scale, cannot be missed at all. I variously and deftly enhanced the art color texture as well as the scale to generate several distinct image files which are computerized. A sign of outdoor company was later airbrushed on all the images onto the medium (canvas) thus creating numerous sole large scale differences on the arts brooding landscape each having a slight mood difference (MET, 2019).
Interviewer: Perhaps if I say you have an opinion about the work's place in art history I would be right? If yes, what is the historical movement behind this art?
M.R: Yes, you are right. BORDER explores the political as well as psychological meanings of national and geographical borders through the use of the military access route leading Lebanon from Israel with me my self being the model and as a site (MET, 2019). So this art is simply about leaving the struggles behind taking a much darker path which has many dangers that where an individual is running from and there exposed to threats like death along the way due to illness, hunger or attacks. Similarly, the path is leading to a certain location but is not clear as the path disappears ahead. The destination is therefore unclear since anything can happen to an individual when they arrive for instance abused, molested, homelessness among others.
Interviewer: As we wind up, how did you start doing art, briefly take us through your art life, do you have a family.
M.R: I started doing art when I was a baby, actually everyone is an artist when they are babies they draw everywhere and most of the times until they know other things. So I knew other things but never lost touch with art. As I said, I started art when I was still young, and developed through the years and studied become what and reach where I am today. And about a family no, I do not have a family.
