Personal Opinion on Art Censorship
Art can be described as the human activities that involve visual, auditory or performances that express the imaginative and technical skills of the person creating them, usually referred to as an artist. Whereas the quality of the art is determined by the skill of the artist, the nature of the artist is determined by what is cognitively invested in the heart and mind. Art has always faced some level of censorship with the levels varying from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Censorship maybe based on faith, morality or even politics. The argument on whether or not art should be censured of artists allowed to freely express themselves is a fundamental aspect of art. Whereas modern art faces a lot of censorship, traditional art is accepted and praised universally a good example being the Creation of Adam by Michelangelo.
My understanding of the world is that freedom ought to be a personal responsibility informed on the feeling of the artist and tempered by the artist’s understanding of impression of his intended audience. Art should not be censured, only regulation and the best form of industry regulation, is when an industry is allowed to regulate itself. A common form of censorship is premised on nudity. Even on social media service providers most of the social media will include severe warnings on the issue of nudity. Whereas nudity should be limited for those of minority age, I believe that any aversion to nudity is an act of hypocrisy. Most of the things we avoid being showed are still preeminent in our minds.

All animals evolve with two major obligations, personal survival and the survival of the species. Personal survival requires food; survival of the species requires procreation. However, Political censorship should be abolished all together, the more people are allowed to express themselves, the better the society becomes. It is, therefore, my well informed opinion that art should only be regulated, preferably by organizations of the artists themselves but never censored.
