Texting is the activity of sending a message mostly through a mobile phone; many people today use the text message as they refer to it as an easy way of conveying information rather than talking. Text, message can be used as a reminder since it is saved in the inbox it is easy to come across it when reviewing the messages than when talking because it is easy to forget but a text message will always remind you. Texting is not writing at all, but somehow it is a spoken language that is getting richer and more complicated by time. Talking came first while writing come later thus there is no way texting which is part of writing can spoil or kill the English language because writing is an artifice which came along later.

The first writing was based on how people talk with short sentences; whereas talk is mostly subconscious and rapid, writing is deliberately slow. Texting has become a new way of talking developing its kind of grammar and conventions. For example the word ‘LOL’ does not actually mean ‘laughing out loud’ but it has developed so much meaning depending on how the person using it intends to propose. Texting does not interfere with the English language in any way; in the old days, no writing was done in the same way people speak as there was no mechanism to reproduce the speed of conversation. Texting is concise, placing only little focus put on capitalization or punctuation. People world widely speak differently from the way they write, when people are writing they put much emphasize on grammar and punctuation but when texting people are only after conveying their information. Writing is like talking with your fingers rather than voice talking; Texting is not killing the English Language.
