Issues and Opportunities Presented by Technology

Solving problems is among the most essential and primary skills required in the 21st century. Using technology enables a person to identify problems easily and manage to analyze complex problems. Technology has helped in solving numerous issues within society. One of the critical issues that technology has helped to solve is accidental deaths. People around the world have been experiencing unintentional deaths and injuries. Motorization has affected people's lives in society and has led to the loss of people’s lives. Injuries due to road accidents are the major cause of many deaths among people. In the United States, motor vehicle accidents are the major causes of deaths the teenagers. According to information released by CDC (2020), about 285 000 teenagers were treated with acute injuries from motor vehicle accidents, and about 2500 died in 2018. The information shows that there are numerous people that experience road accidents each day. Vehicle-related accidents and deaths can be reduced by applying an emergency braking system 

Technology can help save hundreds of lives since human error is the primary cause of automobile collisions. Motor vehicle companies have started improving space and developing automatic emergency braking system which is helping in preventing the impacts of distracted driving. The technology is being equipped in modern cars to help in minimizing the acuteness and frequency of car collisions and accidents. Automatic braking systems assist the drivers in increasing their capacity to control their vehicles. Moreover, the system is developed in a way that it can stop the care independently in critical situations. It is built with the technology that if it detects that a forward crash is impending, it will alert the driver first to enable them to take the precaution actions. Additionally, the system is fitted with radar, camera, and laser sensor at the front of the vehicle to detect the distance and speed of obstacles ahead. The system has a sound alert to issue a warning to the driver if it predicts a collision. Also, it is accompanied by an alert message on the dashboard of flashing lights. In case the driver does not take any step to control the collision, the system automatically applies brakes on itself to reduce or prevent the severity of the crash. The braking system has helped in reducing road accidents related to careless driving. 

I believe that the autonomous braking system is effective in helping drivers minimize their likelihood of accidents. The braking system has helped in reducing the impacts of road accidents. The technology has helped in improving the efficiency, performance, and convenience of modern cars. It helps in alerting the driver concerning an emerging accident. Compared to the traditional methods whereby the driver could not predict any impending danger, the technology helps to evade or reduce the accident's severity in case it occurs. As a result, the technology has helped minimize vehicle accident-related deaths. Also, while driving, the technology helps maintain safe gaps in case a car cuts in front of one’s vehicle. The system will help reduce the incidences of road accidents, especially among teenagers. 

An automatic braking system will help drivers take more control while driving. Many motorists have been involved in accidents due to lack of concentration on the roads, distractions, over-speeding, and drug abuse. The technology will be effective to them by regulating their driving speed and alerting them to the road's impending dangers. The system's audible alarm or vibrating steering wheels or seats will help alert the team to maintain focus on the road. Also, automatic braking will help them reduce the severity of the accident that might occur. Technology has proved to be a problem solver in society, and therefore, people should focus on using it where change is needed.
