Reflection
Jesus the Messiah is the Son of God, who forms part of the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. A resolution to save the fallen humanity was made in heaven and Jesus the Son of God offered Himself to take the human form and be born of Virgin Mary to be the savior of the world. Therefore, He underwent incarnation, grew up as a human being in a sinful body but committed no sin throughout His earthly mission. He came in human form in order to be a testimony that it is possible for one to live a righteous life on earth irrespective of the devil’s temptations through the dependence of God’s Word written in the scriptures and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In His ministry, Jesus performed great works and miracles such as healing the sick, raising the dead, delivering demon-possessed people and teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven. His greatest aim and mission was to seek the lost human race and restore the relationship between man and God (Luke 5:31-32). He finally commissions His disciples to go all over the world spreading the good news about the kingdom of God, making nations His followers and baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
