Joe Biden is an American politician who was the 47 th vice president between the years 2009 to 2017. In addition, he served as a senator for Delaware between the years 1973 to 2009 ( Wilser, 2017) . He has a vast knowledge of law, human rights, politics, governance, and administration. Joe officially launched his presidential bid on April 25, 2019, on a Democratic Party ticket. Joe picked Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. The paper provides a discussion on the various reasons why I will vote for Joe Biden as the next president of the US.
Reason 1: Experienced and strong vision for the country
Joe Biden is an experienced leader for many years and has a strong vision for the country's future. Having served as a senator and vice president for many years, Biden has the requisite leadership skills to make a great president, such as empathy, decisiveness, integrity, and learning agility. When he served as vice president, he assisted in reforming healthcare in the US through the Obama care program. Biden's vision for the country includes big investments in the public health system, green infrastructure, and the creation of jobs for the American population. Therefore, because of his vast experience in leadership, he understands the needs of Americans and will help achieve his vision, especially on the creation of jobs.

Reason 2: Character and Integrity
Biden is a leader of a sound character and integrity, which will enable him to become a great president. He has never been implicated in economic crimes and corruption. He always tells the truth, and for that reason, he has earned the confidence and trust of many people, which made him be a long-serving senator as well as a vice president. Biden is reliable and acts in accordance to his words. Moreover, he owns his mistakes as opposed to making excuses and blaming others. For instance, when he served as senator, he always advocated for the passage of fair laws that enhanced the equality of all American citizens.
Reason 3: Effective communication and crisis management skills
Joe is an effective communicator, which makes him the best candidate for the job. He is clear and articulate in his communications. For instance, when he served as vice president, he collaborated with Barrack Obama to give clear communications regarding the war against terrorists and the death of Osama, which was an emotive issue. In addition, Biden has appropriate crisis management skills. For instance, during the 2014 Ebola outbreak, he teamed up with President Obama to provide a clear direction on the successful containment of the epidemic. Therefore, I believe if elected as president, he will be in a position to help contain the coronavirus pandemic affecting America and the world.
Reason 4: He embraces diversity
America is a diverse country with many religions, cultures, races, and ethnic backgrounds. Therefore, the best candidate to lead America is one who understands and embraces diversity. Joe Biden has proved that he is diverse by listening and acting on the different views of Americans from all races. For instance, he recognized the plight of the black race during police brutality and the eventual death of George Floyd. In addition, he embraces gender diversity by selecting Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Conclusion
I support Joe Biden as a presidential candidate for the president because of his proven ability and character. He is an experienced leader, honest, has efficient crisis management skills, effective communicator, and embraces diversity. Therefore, I believe he has the characteristics of a great leader, and I will vote for him.
