Language and Arts Lesson

Lesson Introduction 

This lesson is meant to make you understand various concepts in the Language Arts subject. The lesson is also meant to equip you with reading abilities and skills, the ability to understand language, and write artwork. 

Context 

In the course of this lesson, I will be assisting all of you in areas that you might find difficult to understand, so everyone should feel free to ask questions and explanations at a personal level. I will be using some diagrams from the internet to explain the concepts more simply, and all materials used during the lesson will be made available on the class Whatsapp group so that everyone can follow up easily and enjoy the lesson. By the end of the lesson, each student should be able to elicit good reading abilities and skills, portray understanding of language and write credible artwork. 

Alignment to Learning Outcomes and Competencies 

By the end of this lesson, all of you are expected to have learned some instructional technologies such as posting in blogs, responding to feedback through social media platforms or via email, and designing artistic work. I am going to facilitate the acquisition of skills and participation of every person in these activities as per every students' capabilities, skill, and learning competencies. Therefore everyone will be offered an equal opportunity to learn and assistance will be availed to each student as per their requirement. I am also expecting that each person will have acquired collaborative skills and how to apply teamwork to make learning easier and interesting. I am expecting that each person will have learned the relevant social skills that are needed in healthy teamwork learning activities as well. I am going to assist each one of you to design an individual artwork in the course of this lesson, and I hope that the process will be fun for all of you. This lesson plan details are in the appendix for future reference purposes.

The documents that will be used in this lesson include PDFs downloaded from online sources, Word documents and the Lesson Plan sample in appendix B. 

Technology 

I am going to use technology during this lesson so as to enhance learning and understanding of the content. The materials that I intend to use include audiotaped lectures, printed worksheets and notes, chart papers, pencil makers and coloring pencils, laptop, tablet, internet connection to help me use google and other relevant academic websites so as to facilitate understanding and recall of the content. I am going to use social media platforms like the class WhatsApp group to post some of the materials that u need to access through your phones during the lesson. I am also going to send the soft copy materials to your class email for future reference. 

Instructions and Activities 

In the first session of this lesson, I am going to provide background information regarding the use of language and its purpose, the application, and importance of art lessons, and verifying that every student has the required materials for effective learning during the lecture. In the next session, I will allow you to share the knowledge you have in language and art. I will also allow you to ask questions and clarification on the aspects that you would wish. During the final session, I will introduce you to in-depth information related to language and artwork. This would entail some conce[pts that might be completely new to you, but I will be offering you equal chances at getting assistance with understanding from a personal level if need be. 

Assessment Activities 

The initial assessment that I am going to make will earn you 70% marks, and this is going to be an individual presentation that entails designing and an OP ART-3D paper cone drawings. Therefore each one of you is needed to take this section seriously and do your best in this section since it gives you high chances of performing well. The second assessment will earn you 30% marks, and the marks are going to be awarded based on collaboration skills and participation in teamwork.
