Lifelong learning entails the ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge for either professional or personal reasons. It encompasses a different form of learning, such as vocational training and non-formal learning, that supports the community and caters to the learners' needs ( LLL-OLC, 2019) . Lifelong learning is geared towards disrupting the existing rigid models of learning and accommodating those that can allow different ages to acquire education. Current models inform the purpose of learning that is only confined to schooling the young people only.

The mechanism of education in the formal system is unequal. It has made most people to be left out. According to UNESCO data, many adults cannot read and write due to missed opportunities as a result of inequality experienced during the school-going period ( LLL-OLC, 2019) . Due to adulthood's important role in shaping society's needs, lifelong learning must be made essential. Lifelong learning leads to the realization of a better society by promoting opportunities throughout life.

Lifelong learning can be achieved by shifting our mindset and educational systems. In mindset shift, people need to question their assumptions about lifelong learning. The people's mindset can be changed by using empowerment programs that foster diverse opportunities rather than using judgment, such as conditioning learning to a specific career ( LLL-OLC, 2019) . The educational systems in place also need to be changed to accommodate the learning over time. The state should ensure equitable learning opportunities are available for all by increasing online and offline learning systems for people of all ages. The educational planners can carefully achieve those described above by planning adult learning spaces and utilizing the resources available effectively. The quality of learning plays a vital role in shaping people's abilities, life chances, and talents.

Time management

Time management is hectic, especially for adults taking classes. For them to navigate through their busy schedules and education, they should avoid procrastination. One needs to set concrete goals on studies that need to be reviewed and mapping out what they want to accomplish. However, they should ensure the goals set are realistic. Time management can also be achieved by minimizing distractions from one's phone. The lifelong learning process, especially among adults, is affected by a busy schedule. Therefore, there is a need to eliminate things that can interfere with one's ability to reach their goals. Learners can also facilitate time management by ranking tasks based on priority. Clustering of tasks according to low, middle-level, and high priority enables one to have a clearer view of their tasks. The methods help the learner to have an idea about the tasks that can be tackled faster. The process prevents time to waste in thinking of how to accomplish different tasks randomly.

Vignettes and Case Studies

Vignettes and case studies play an essential role in the development of learner's skills. The learning methods are used in asking questions and obtaining answers related to real-life issues. Studies such as sociology and behaviorism that entail understanding people, using vignettes or case studies, allow for comprehending information about people's lives. In the development of case studies and vignettes, the learner needs to consider its validity, and appropriateness, relevance, and realism. The validity of vignettes and case studies entails the development of scenarios based on existing literature. For example, for a vignette or case study in lifelong learning to be effective, it must capture information related to scholarly perspective. The realism, appropriateness, and validity of the case studies and vignettes depend on their effectiveness in the subject matter. For one to develop the desired case study for learning purposes, it has to appear real. For example, in writing vignettes, staging them based on scenarios and presenting them in narrative form is essential. The process makes it interesting and allows the readers to conceptualize what is being discussed.
