The use of marijuana among young adult college students and adolescents in the United States is likely to increase with marijuana liberalization trends. This is because the availability and opportunity of accessing marijuana are getting considerably apparent, as more states make it legitimate for recreational and medical utilization ("VitalSource bookshelf online," n.d.). Increased marijuana use, particularly in college-aged students, is increased by having the opportunity to smoke since there is less adult supervision and more privacy.
