1. Matthew 5:21-24
Jesus point in the teaching is about the power of forgiveness. He teaches us that anger is a dangerous weapon to humans’ relations that can result in sinning; murder. Anger blinds people’s hearts and can lead to reckless actions such as killing. In the teaching, he points out that murderers; sinners shall receive judgment (Keener, 2011). Jesus informs us that God is a forgiving person. However, before one goes to the altar to ask for his forgiveness and offer sacrifices, he emphasizes on the cleansing of one’s heart by facing the person who annoyed them to forgive each other so that one’s prayers can reach heaven (Keener, 2011). The teaching emphasizes the power of forgiveness. In other words, according to Jesus, when one wrong, you and the person clings onto the grudges, they are also sinners because anger has clouded their hearts and judgements.
The relevance of this teaching to believers is that humans should learn to forgive one another. Humans learn that murder is a sin and is terrible in both humans and God’s eyes (Bouma, 2016). This teaching also informs Christians that no sin is significant in the eyes of the Lord. Hurting others is a sin. Judging and holding grudges on those who have hurt you is also a sin. The teaching advises us to maintain the love for each other even when mistreated and to avoid quick judgements as that is also part of sinning. Christians also learn that their payers and sacrifices are useless before God if their hearts are clouded by anger or when they have sinned. Therefore, before going to the altar to offer sacrifices to God, people should cleanse their hearts from any evil (violence) lurking in them. In other words, humans are taught of the power of repentance to be spiritual.

This teaching reveals that Jesus is a forgiving person. We learn that he is a forgiving person because his words describe him as so, and he serves as an example of how humans should live by always forgiving and loving those who judge and hurt him. This teaching reveals that Jesus is loving and kind because he is against anger and grudges. This teaching also indicates that Jesus is pure at heart because he is clean in every way.
2. Matthew 9:1-8
The reading of Jesus healing a paralyzed man, indicates that Jesus’ nature if forgiving. His forgiving nature shows that no sin is more prominent in the eyes of the Lord. The teaching also reveals to Christians that whoever seeks truly in his name shall never lack. Since the paralyzed man’s friend heard of Jesus’ visit to his hometown, and they had faith in his work, they took him to Jesus so that he can walk again (Hopler, 2017). Besides, the passage reveals to us that Jesus is a miracle worker. The world had never witnessed such a miracle where a man born paralyzed rises and walk. Therefore, no man is greater than Jesus because no one can contest his miraculous work.
This teaching informs believers that when they are ill or born with a condition such as poor vision, they should never stop praying and seeking for Jesus’ intervention. Christians are also reminded to have faith in Christ because it helps in receiving Jesus’ miracles (Hopler, 2017). The passage reveals to the world that nothing is impossible in the eyes of the Lord. No matter how one may be in pain, suffering emotionally, physically, psychologically, they should never give up their faith. Above all, believers should not stop praying because it is the only way humans can communicate with Jesus. Christians are also informed that since Jesus forgives in nature and no sin is bigger in his eyes; he encourages repentance before seeking his intervention.
3. (Mark 8:29ESV).
When Jesus asked who people think he is, he gives room for people to raise their opinions about him based on what they have heard, known, or believe. Jesus does not provide an answer to who he is because he wants people to consider the pieces of evidence before them to raise their suggestions. According to the bible, notably the new testament in the book of Matthew and Luke, I believe that Jesus is the Messiah. He is the savior whom John the Baptist was sent on earth to prepare his way. Jesus is the savior because he forgives all sins despite the magnitude. Jesus is a healing person; he heals the sick and those born with disabilities. I believe that Jesus is also a miracle worker because no man can heal the paralyzed, raise the dead, or make the blind see.
Jesus is the greatest man on earth because he is kind and loving. He is kind because he welcomes everyone, including those who used to have negative thoughts and talks about him. Jesus is a loving being because despite being regarded as an enemy of the people, he still goes to the same people to encourage love, kindness, and forgiveness. I believe that Jesus is caring because he is concerned for all humanity, regardless of how one feels or thinks of him. He is also welcoming to everyone who knocks at his door for help. As a result, Jesus walked from door to door and town to town with his disciples preaching the Gospel to attract more believers. Jesus does not choose who to heal or help because, before him, everyone is equal. He is also great because he came on earth to take away humans’ pain.
