Maso Finiguerra was an Italian draftsman, a goldsmith, and an engraver. Despite being an Italian, he was working in Florence. In the global context, Maso Finiguerra is known for his involvement in disguisable history. He was a skilled craftsman, whose art is deemed to be unique, and linked to partial aspects of mythical elements. Maso Finiguerra was the person of the invention of printmaking, a practice associated engraving, associated with the impression of using different designs to develop prints to produce metal plates. His skills in printmaking made him a crucial figure in the society, as he shaped the development of historical master sprints, a perception widely used till the late twentieth century. The only weakness associated with Maso Finiguerra skills was the lack of sustainability, as there have been technical advances.

Maso Finiguerra was a grandson of Antonio, a renounces goldsmith. The family became linked with the workmanship, painting, and printing of master prints. During that era, Maso Finiguerra family was associated with waist buckles and the development of artistic elements. The skills Maso Finiguerra held have been the key elements behind his legacy, over the works associated with him. In the history of Florence, Maso Finiguerra had a significant contribution. He has been credited with engraving masterpieces, which some remain superior artworks to present times ( Whitaker, 2018 ). Maso Finiguerra is remembered for his development of a merchant gilding the crucifixion of Saint John. Presently, the drawing has been preserved un Opera del Duomo.

An analysis of his surviving works can be utilized to create an understanding of the essence of his style, and the reason it has been important. The Duomo sacristy can be said to be the only authentic specimen found in present times ( Currie, 2018 ). His style was using drawings to present a certain concept, in such a way that it can easily be understood by any individual. In the seventieth century, his works were significant as were portraying his writing and drawing skills. Essentially, Maso Finiguerra artistic works were based on creative imaginations, which were guided by his life experiences. He is associated with the creation and development of some parallel figures, mostly related to sacred features. 

Analysis and Description of Two Examples 

Maso Finiguerra has a wide range of artistic examples. In this context a cupid, featuring a fowl, which is seen to be accompanying a dog. This is a drawing crafted to depict the actual life scenario during ancient times. It features two individuals, a man, and a woman. The man seems to be blowing something, while the lady is carrying something. The work is archived in the national gallery of art, as has a meaning related to ancient Italian life. The second significant work is that of St. John, which is drawn at the foot of the cross. It was developed in 1940. In a general point of view, the work depicts a religious perspective, followed by Christians. From a close look, the drawing is developed as the saint is at the foot of the cross. 

Conclusion 

The contribution an individual makes his/her recognition during a given era. The artwork is an element used even in present times. Maso Finiguerra used artistic and craftsmanship to shape the understanding of concepts. Despite his works being dated in ancient times, some are still relevant even in present times. At can be seen in the national gallery of art, which houses a number of his works.
