First, most teachers emphasize much on what is examinable hence tend to ignore integration of technology in teaching mathematics. Rural schools have also not benefited from advancement in technology compared to those in urban areas. This is due to poor internet connections and limited access to computers. Furthermore, graduates and school leavers are faced with an ever-changing technology world hence the need to be more proactive, innovative and creative. Development of soft skills is also critical element in meeting the job market requirements. This calls for appropriate utilization of technology in teaching.
