There are some major categories of mental health disorder whose signs and symptoms need professional help. Most of these symptoms and signs of disorder are physical and they mostly involve neurotransmitters, brain functioning genetics and hormones. Some of these symptoms are associated with psychological perception such as cognition, emotion and learning. Mental health disorder can cause personal distress to the person or those around them. When a person has such symptoms should see a physician because if not treated it may cause physical or emotional pain. Additionally, it may cause distress to others by violence or chronic lying. Another signal is dysfunctional (Zeanah, 2018) . Psychologist defines abnormality considering whether the behavior of the patient interferes with an individual’s ability to function (Katz et al. 2014) . If the patient cannot hold a job, form close relationships or go to school, then the person might consider consulting a health practitioner. The more strain an individual has in functioning daily, the more the behavior is said to be abnormal.
Some mental health disorders whose sign and symptoms should be handled by a health practitioner. Psychologists had to develop some approaches to evaluate the signals of abnormality in an individual. These approaches are such as social-cultural theory, biological theory and psychological theory. In biological theories, the patient can identify some abnormal signals in the physical process. An imbalance in neurotransmitters or hormones, genetics or bodily or brain dysfunction are the biological attributes that cause abnormality in a person (Naoi et al 2017) . In psychological theories, some attributes to abnormal character are internal whereas some are external. Some signals that are attributed by psychological theories are influential internal messages that cause a person to behave abnormal and an individual loses touch with their sense of self or their value (Heine, 2015) . They experience personal distress and have the possibility of engaging in maladaptive activities.
